GPU Fan Adjustment [Runs Too Often "At Full Speed"]

Hello everyone,

I recently "changed" my PC; in truth, I built my PC in a new case with a new motherboard, CPU, and power supply, keeping only the graphics card, RAM, and drives from my old PC.

Since this change, I am facing two problems:

- the first being that at startup, the fans on my graphics card run at full speed (producing a beautiful airplane noise at startup) before dropping to a normal speed and sound (it's not too much of a hindrance in the end, but maybe there's a solution to this unnecessary blowing at startup)

- the second is that during some gaming sessions, my graphics card pushes its fans to full speed (again) as soon as it approaches a temperature of 80°. I already had this "problem" on my old build, but the card didn't run its fans as loudly or as quickly. I must admit that after changing to a decent CPU and finally having a properly ventilated case, I thought I wouldn't have this issue anymore.

I would like to know how to properly configure the GPU fans (for example, pushing the max temperature a bit before they kick in at full speed).

Thank you in advance for your help and advice!

Hello, you can use MSI Afterburner to create your custom fan curve, however, 80°C for your GPU is a bit high, if you reduce your fan speed the temperature will rise, and at 83°C the threshold set by Nvidia your card will throttle and you will lose performance.
