GPU fan speed regulation

Hello,

I am using my Windows 10 PC with an old GEFORCE 210 graphics card.
This card is no longer supported by Nvidia.
I installed photo editing software that requires a minimum of 4GB graphics card. (and also for doing a bit of 4K video editing) (I am not a gamer).

The noise from these graphics cards is an issue for me... Fanless cards are rare, especially those with 4GB and more.
I only need maximum display power for about 25% of my activity.

For internet research, I would like to know what the capability of the graphics card to modulate its fan speed based on the workload is called. So, making noise levels acceptable for office tasks and basic image file processing.

Thank you, best regards

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 90.0

Hello,

The fact that your graphics card fans are running fast and therefore are noisy does not necessarily mean that it's overheating; it's the video BIOS of the card that determines the fan curve. You can download the MSI Afterburner software with which you can create a custom fan curve, and it's up to you to choose the noise/temperature ratio you want to achieve, knowing that you can go up to 80 - 82°C without any risk for your graphics card.
