Hello.
How can I find out who will deliver my order when I shop online?
I no longer want to enrich companies that profit off the backs of enslaved people, who are not covered in case of mishaps, and all the disadvantages that come with them not being employees. I can't wait for us to put an end to this form of exploitation of people by all these "startups" in France...
Personally, I only want to work with companies where full employees handle deliveries, like the post office, even if it costs a bit more.
Recently, I ordered online from in...ché, and what a surprise it was to receive a text and email after my purchase from a company exploiting the work of other shop...ops that will have an 'employee' work for next to nothing to deliver to me, while they pocket more than half of the amount paid for this delivery without doing anything. I was surprised because in...ché has its own delivery vans, so I had assumed it would be an employee of the store responsible for delivering to individuals, but no...
It's never indicated on the merchant sites who is actually responsible for deliveries to individuals, unfortunately. Is there a solution to find this out, like an online site that summarizes this issue? Or another way?
For example, I want to know if I order from my...ix who will handle the delivery, but it's impossible to find out unless I send an email and thus have to sign up + email + unsubscribe if I'm not satisfied, tedious :-(

Hello,
The only solution: to buy physically in real stores...

Reading the responses is good... Responding afterwards, out of politeness, is better...

Hello.
Indeed fermiparadoxx, the best option is to buy from a physical store, but currently having some health issues and living in the countryside, and especially not wanting to depend on anyone in my surroundings to avoid becoming a burden, I opted to have my groceries delivered as I purchased them online, but clearly it's not great...
You can say what you want about the dominant online retailer, but at least when you order from them and they are the ones shipping, it goes through colissimo or chronopost, and man do I appreciate that. I almost regret that their grocery offering is mediocre so that they could really shake up the lethargy of usual food retailers.
Afrikarnak, I didn't understand the connection, but you probably don't live in Europe ^^

Hello,
The retail chains are increasingly outsourcing this type of service...
It is certainly more "profitable" for them to use independents or small companies that are themselves subcontracting service providers... with, of course, pressure on productivity that ultimately compromises quality...
I used this kind of "service" a few years ago, following a car accident that made travel impossible at the time, and I was relatively poorly served... with broken items and missing products... It was resolved, but I had to spend time on the phone with the customer service of the relevant supermarket...
In short, all this to say that, aside from delivery services that would be offered locally by groups of merchants (and/or producers)... - so doing local research, asking the town hall, ... and which would take care of the deliveries themselves, there aren't very effective solutions...
Paradoxically, the current health crisis seems to have benefited the rise of these local structures... so we'll see...
For example, there are websites that gather this: https://www.manger-francais.com/
(This is an example, I haven't tested it)
