Bluetooth Device Priority During a Call on iPhone

Hello,

I’m having a problem when I receive calls while riding my motorcycle. I contacted Apple support, but the solution they provided isn't great, so I'm reaching out to see if anyone has a solution.

I own an Apple Watch Series 6, an iPhone X, and also a SENA 50S intercom (a device that clips onto your motorcycle helmet to listen to music or take calls).

My problem is that when I have my watch on while riding, if I receive a call, it’s the watch that vibrates to indicate the call instead of my intercom, so I can't answer with my intercom when my watch is with me. When I don’t have it, the call comes through my intercom and I can take the call. But when the watch is on, it seems to take priority over my intercom, which is quite frustrating as I bought my intercom for that purpose.

Apple told me that I could disable calls on my Watch, but that's not really what I want because I like to take calls on my Watch in other situations. However, when I’m on the motorcycle, I would like to make sure the intercom has priority and that it rings instead. I haven't tested it, but I imagine it would be the same in the car and that the Watch would take the call instead of CarPlay. Alternatively, if I could make it so that all Bluetooth devices ring and I can answer on the one of my choice, that would work for me too.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I advise you to follow Apple's procedure.

You disconnect your watch while driving and once parked, you regain control of your watch.

Because I have an example concerning myself.
If I am at home and leave my Bluetooth connected to my car radio, it likely rings in the car but I do not have the information on my phone, and as a result, calls go to voicemail instead of being answered.

It doesn't take long to perform this maneuver.

Hello, thanks for the tip, it's so simple but I hadn't thought of it... your response gave me the idea to check if in theater mode or do not disturb it could only put the watch in that mode and not the phone, but apparently not, it would have been practical rather than turning it off.
But after a few days, calls seem to be coming through on both my devices, let's see if it lasts or not!
