Transfer paper

Hello,
I do prints with transfer paper on tote bags.
However, the print quality isn't top-notch. Some areas appear "unprinted," with little holes, while others are printed well. I don't know if it's due to the tote bag, the transfer paper, or my technique. I would like to resolve this issue but don't know where it comes from. Do you have any solutions?

    Good evening,

Have you tried with other textile materials and compared it with another type of paper?

    Luke.

No, I actually wanted to make a recommendation, but I don't know if it's better to change the paper or the tote bag model :/

    Is it sublimation transfer (pressing)?

      Hello,
I don't know what the transfer is called, but it's done using an iron.

        Okay, so it's sublimation..
I think it's the texture of the substrate that's causing the problem...
Try to iron it first with a damp cloth to get the smoothest surface possible and then do your pressing afterwards.

        Hello!
I tried it as you suggested and indeed, it worked, the transfer was much more qualitative! Small problem, at the bottom, the transfer left some stains (see photo) could the bag have been too wet? Or is it coming from elsewhere?

It's quite possible... There shouldn't be any moisture left in the substrate... Your material is too textured... Ironing with a damp cloth will smooth it out slightly and facilitate the transfer... If it were as smooth as a t-shirt, you would have fewer problems...
