Good evening, it is currently 5 a.m. I have been looking for a solution for 4 hours and I haven't found any answers to my problem.
I have 2 accounts on my PC:
- my own where I have all my games, documents, etc., which is the administrator account, and I have another one created from the cmd, the real Administrator account that has all the rights (I opened it to fix something a long time ago, so it has nothing to do with this).
However, when I turned on my PC today, it automatically logged into the Administrator account (which has all the rights) and my personal account is no longer displayed at all, as if it has disappeared!
When I go into the PC drive, I can see that my account is still there and when I look at the user accounts on the PC, it is still present, but when I go to the Start menu and click on the user icons (log off, lock, etc.), there is nothing except the Admin account!
I then tried to create another account, which was successfully created but does not appear either!
Please help me!! (I am running Windows 10)

Hello.
Try a system restore to a point before this session disappeared. Hopefully, this function was enabled beforehand; otherwise, no points will be available.
<<< The real issue is that I can no longer create sessions >>>
If there are no restore points, then you'll have to resort to the system repair itself to fix it ==>
https://forums.cnetfrance.fr/tutoriels-windows-10/643107-windows-10-comment-reparer-sans-perdre-ses-donnees-ni-ses-logiciels-avec-un-iso-ou-cle-usb
Basically, once the USB drive is ready, with the PC started and on the desktop, plug in the drive and look for Setup and click on it. WARNING = the repair might take some time. 2 hours or more if there is a lot of data. So if it's a laptop, make sure to plug in the charger. Under no circumstances should the PC shut down for fear of corrupting the system and losing everything.
With this process, you won't lose any personal data or installed applications. Only the Windows 10 system will be reinstalled.
See you . . .

Hello
Yes, it happens from time to time on Windows 10 and 7. The profile is corrupted, and Windows will create another one to be able to start.
If it is indeed in the directories, you will need to proceed in 2 steps from your Admin account.
1) Close all sessions except the Admin one.
2) Modify the registry as explained here, you will need to delete the key (and only the key) that corresponds to your "corrupted" profile.
3) Once this is done, you will be able to start under your "normal" profile, which will be empty.
4) Go back to your admin profile and via the file manager, COPY all the directories from the old (corrupted) one to the new one that has just been created (Desktop to desktop, documents to documents, etc.)
5) Switch to the new profile to verify.
6) If everything is okay (or almost, because sometimes certain things are not recoverable) you only have to delete the directories corresponding to the corrupted profile to free up space on the disk.
Best regards

Hello, thank you for your response,
I have followed all your instructions but nothing works, no sessions are displaying and I can no longer see my personal session in the settings (makes sense since it was "deleted")
Luckily, I kept a backup of my data drive where all my games and important files are.
The real issue is that I can no longer create sessions.
I don't know what to do anymore :(

Hello, I have roughly the same problem except that it’s a little more complicated unfortunately...
Since this morning, I can't log into my W10 session: I have a session for myself (games, documents, apps, etc.) and I have a session for my mother. However, this morning I come to the computer and I see that on the startup screen (the one to choose the user) my session has disappeared and my mother's session won't start. PS: yesterday I created a restore point (I was lucky) but I don’t know how to access my computer and my important documents.
Thank you very much.
