Video connection PC VGA to DisplayPort screen

Hello,

I'm looking to connect a laptop with a VGA connection to a screen with a DisplayPort connection.
I can only find one-way adapters for sale that do only the reverse (PC DisplayPort to VGA screen).

Knowing that I'm only looking to transmit the video signal, would it work if I acquired such an adapter anyway?
Or would the analog to digital conversion still pose a problem?

    After a second order, I found the final setup that works:

    Laptop with female VGA port > active male VGA to male HDMI converter > female/female HDMI coupler > active male HDMI to female Displayport converter > male/male Display port cable > screen with female DisplayPort port.

    Both active converters are each equipped with a USB cable for their power supply, so you need to provide 2 USB ports (one on the laptop, the other near the screen), otherwise it won't work.

    In conclusion, it's possible but it costs a bit (almost €100) so you need to arrange in advance to have a screen with multiple input ports like DP, HDMI, and if possible VGA, which is the case with my screen but my need was actually for a connection to a KVM switch (so no choice as there is only one type of connection for all ports). I didn't mention that to simplify the question and make the answers more straightforward.

    Hoping this can help others who encounter this problem.

    I think I've found the solution after a few sessions of research and reading in English.
    According to what I saw on:

    The conversion wouldn't be possible directly.
    With what's available, you would need to go through an active adapter with a power source (like USB) from VGA to HDMI, then take an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter.
