Issue with my DisplayPort to VGA adapter

Hello,
I have a small problem. I wanted to connect two screens to my Dell Optiplex 3020, which has a VGA port and a DisplayPort, so I bought a blue VGA cable and a DisplayPort to VGA adapter because both screens are VGA... I finished the installation and when I powered it on, both screens worked very well, but after a few seconds, the screen connected via DisplayPort goes into standby by itself and then wakes up, only to go back into standby again. So I switched the screens, but the problem persists on the screen connected via DisplayPort...
I wonder if it's the DisplayPort adapter or what; I'm lost. Who can help me?
P.S.: I bought the adapter on Cdiscount for €7
