Installed RAM memory 8GB but 5.92GB usable

Hello,

I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad 3 laptop, which should have 8GB of RAM, but it only has 5.92GB usable (8GB DDR4)... I heard that I need to swap the memory sticks and go into the BIOS... but I must say that I'm not quite sure how to manage that with a Lenovo....
Here’s an image of my setup: https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21%2F14%2Ffhbp.png
I'm running Windows 10 64-bit

Do you think the after-sales service could swap the memory sticks? Just to avoid losing my laptop or my warranty....
Thanks to you :)

    Hello
the integrated graphics chip in the processor takes up a portion of the RAM

This is not about memory reserved by Windows, but rather a portion of the RAM used by the CPU's IGP as V-RAM. You can't remove it. The solution would be to add a RAM stick if you want more usable RAM.

Thank you, and do you know what type of memory stick I can add to be compatible with an AMD Ryzen 7?

    Thank you very much!
Do you have another tutorial on Linux this time? Since I am dual booting, it's doing the same thing on Linux...

      Hello
the 2 GB missing is taken by the integrated graphics chip on the CPU (Radeon Vega mobile Gfx)
there’s nothing you can do about it, it’s normal.
