I am currently resetting everything via the EPSON.fr site ...
I will provide the results right after!

I have just completed all downloads via Epson.fr ...
Software and updates and ... still the same issue.

Good thinking, however, at the time of the reset, Epson uninstalls everything!
But just in case, I will follow this method, and then I will come back after I have completed the new installation.

So uninstalling Epson applications, deleting residual folders, running CCleaner: Cleaning and deleting residual keys.
Restarting the PC and checking the structure on the main Hard Drive C/:
Returning to the Epson site to download the compressed file:
epson626573eu
Launching the installation of the desired applications ...
I click on the [Finish] button.
I restart the PC (in which case ...).

Unfortunately, no improvement!

The printer dates back to July 2017!

I'm waiting a bit longer before deciding to get rid of it, in case someone has a possible answer.

Hello DeMonsternel and glg29, I have exactly the same issue for a few days with my old EPSON Stylus SX525WD printer, a large white frame in the center of the print. It’s not the printer because the other features like copy and scan from the printer work fine. It’s when I send the copy command from the PC that I get this result. I managed to print an image and a document by opening each in Paint and printing from there.... However, this doesn’t solve the problem because if I need to print double-sided and can't go through Paint, there's no way...... I will keep following to see if you find a solution....

I see that my question is generating interest.

Regarding KB5000802, I deleted and reinstalled it; that's not the issue.

By clicking on the image and going directly through printing, using PaintNet, GIMP ...
But it works with Paint 3D and Easy Photo Print (from Epson).

But as YVANNEB said, whom I greet by the way, it's becoming tedious, no Duplex available.
The direct mode would be preferable, especially since I print a lot of documents.

At one point, I thought it was the printer's memory buffer or that Epson was tracking compatible cartridges.

Does anyone have any idea how this direct printing mode is managed with Windows 10?

From Monsternel, I have just resolved this printing issue; I removed the mid-March update (the 10th for me on Windows 8.1). There was indeed a bug following this update affecting various printers, either resulting in a blue screen or a white box in the middle. Microsoft issued a fix that I was unable to download manually (the update KB5001640), so as mentioned in the comments of the Microsoft forum below, I deleted the update that caused the mess... Thanks for digging deep, YVANNEB, are you talking about KB5000802 or KB50016440?

But are the M&J the same between Windows 8.1 and 10?
KB5000802 has only been installed on my PC since April 1st (no joke, please!).
According to Microsoft, and according to this user, it is better to wait for the fix.

In the meantime, I've found a workaround by using Easy Photo, which is an Epson application installed at the same time as the printer software.

It's more steps than just right-clicking on the image and asking for print without going through Easy Photo ... to be continued!
