Hello,
Everything is in the title:
the PC is an HP 17-p126nf
the OS is Windows 10
To write this message, I'm using the on-screen keyboard, which works perfectly. My PC froze yesterday, and I had to turn it off by holding down the power button, and since then the keyboard and the touchpad have not been working.
I went to the Device Manager to see where the problem was, and there I saw an issue regarding the keyboard. Here's what I read:
Standard PS/2 keyboard
Device status:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the Registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
Just in case, I updated the drivers: but nothing changes.
Can someone help me with this information
Thank you in advance.

Good evening,
You need to change the keyboard of your laptop.

Oh really! Might as well plug in a keyboard via the USB port.

Hello again,
So everything is working perfectly again. My son, who is into computers a bit, came to check my laptop.
He went into the registry and made a modification:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}]
"UpperFilters"=hex(7):6b,00,62,00,64,00,63,00,6c,00,61,00,73,00,73,00,00,00,00,\
00
I'm happy, no need to change anything.
