Hello,

I encountered an error on my PC that prevents me from accessing Windows, so I’m going into safe mode to perform a system restore, but when I try to restore, Windows asks me:

Enable system protection via Command Prompt

So I try:

1. Access the Command Prompt from Advanced Options when you cannot access the Windows environment.

2. Type this command: net start vss and press Enter.

3. Type this command: rstrui.exe / offline: C: \ windows = active and press Enter.

4. Restart your computer after the restore to see if you can return to the previous state.

But when I execute step 3, a message appears: "Unexpected error, error 0x80070057, close the restore."

Need help, it’s urgent please!!!!!!

System restore can only work if restore points were created before the problem occurred.
To check if you have restore points, press the Windows and X keys and click on PowerShell (admin). Copy the command: vssadmin list shadows

I do indeed have it, but I don't know how to "close the restoration program."
