Hello, good evening;

It has been a week now that it is impossible to enable location.

On "https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=13&ct=1581137552&rver=7.0.6738.0&wp=SAPI&wreply=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.microsoft.com%2Fauth%2Fcomplete-signin%3Fru%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faccount.microsoft.com%252Fdevices&lc=1033&id=292666&lw=1&fl=easi2" my computer is dear to my girlfriend, while I am currently at home.

I have read several posts regarding this issue, but none have solved the problem. I have also read that the antivirus could be the cause of all this trouble (In one post I read that it was Avast, but I use Norton).

- In the notification bar, the "Location" feature is greyed out
- In Settings -> Privacy -> Location, when I click on "Change", nothing happens.
- In Settings -> Update and Security -> Find my device, when I click on change the settings window closes.
- When I want to allow Cortana to access location, nothing happens either; it stays on the same page.

I want to point out that it was working just a week ago! I must have made a wrong manipulation, but I couldn’t tell you which one as I never go into the PC settings; I only use it to go on Facebook, Skype and to play some games.
Thank you in advance for your future responses.

    Hello
    You are using Windows 10
    Completely disable your Norton antivirus with a firewall or antivirus? (Free or licensed)? Once this task is completed, you need to restart your PC to activate Defender by default and update it.

    Computing is only a tool, like a paintbrush or a pencil.
    Avoid these so-called free repair software, etc... they have no major utility. The best companions are DOS and PowerShell..

      Hello beber67470
      I have done what you advised, but even by disabling everything, the Geolocation setting remains blocked.

      I am indeed on Windows 10, and for Norton, I have a paid license (Antivirus and firewall).
