TNT channels not found - Sharp Smart TV
Solved
Hello,
I will try to be as precise as possible.
I bought a Smart TV Led HD 32'' 32BC4E. My wall socket is apparently of the "SAT" type: a solid white plug with a tiny hole in the middle. In the wall, there are two side-by-side plugs of this type as a TV wall socket.
On my TV now, I have a SAT IN plug that is exactly the same as the one in the wall (solid white plug with a small hole in the middle). And another plug above it labeled RF IN, which is hollow with a hollow tip itself (male?).
I plugged in the TV's power supply and connected the cable that Darty recommended from the SAT IN socket to my wall socket, which consists of the two solid white plugs with a small fine hole in the middle. Both ends of my cable have a very thin pin to insert into the wall socket and the one on the TV.
When I start the channel search on the Digital TV source, it runs but results in... 0 channels found.
I don't understand why and as you can see, I'm not well-versed in the subject.
Could one of you help me?
A thousand thanks!
See you soon,
Jérémy

As already mentioned, the Darty cable is a satellite cable and you can try to do a satellite search from your TV's satellite tuner
But to start a search from the Digital TV menu, you need the cable I advised you: coaxial cable with F connector -> coaxial connector, in the blue link from my previous reply, and try both wall sockets

Hello Jérémy
Your TV has a satellite tuner, so you need to search on that tuner and depending on the pointed satellite, you can receive some channels in French, but not all of those from TNT
On the other hand, you said:
"In the wall, there are two sockets side by side of this type as a TV wall socket."
It might be a satellite output and a collective distribution output if you are in an building
You would need a coaxial cable F-type to coaxial connector, such as this one:

Then start the channel search on the Digital TV source
Have you asked your neighbors? How do they receive TV?

Hello Andy,
Thank you for your response!
Regarding the neighbors, my move-in is very recent, I've asked my neighbors on the same floor, but they don't have a television. The caretaker on the ground floor has a slightly different connection: a single very standard wall socket like this one: https://www.leroymerlin.fr/v3/p/produits/prise-tv-saillie-lexman-opus-blanc-e1500236410?megaBoost&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgomBBhDXARIsAFNyUqOiKisiRMLJOr3iOEt6EKuKQ8tWEAYOu0qFRdP2UdgY4j_yMMYcwUoaAtAbEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I will continue my neighborhood investigation, especially to check the wall sockets at their places.
Darty advised me to buy this cable with those same two connectors: https://www.manutan.fr/fr/maf/cordon-antenne-satellite-2-5m-a253230?shopping=true&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgomBBhDXARIsAFNyUqOubnXKZ-EyJxEjTJYBX6QwCKALz76gPgQS5EqrVJlh9kXQcb8YMhgaAo6CEALw_wcB
I plugged it into the connector on my TV called SAT IN and the wall socket that looks exactly like this (no indication under each of the connectors): https://www.ledkia.com/fr/acheter-appareillages-electriques-encastres/5184-module-double-prise-satelite.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAgomBBhDXARIsAFNyUqOXIbY_7i4J0asIbxNbafjVJygKCGQq0rfUM2stt7tqg1l7GMCM0B4aAusJEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I tried both connectors on my wall socket to start the channel search (in the Digital TV menu) and the result is always the same: 0 channel.
Thanks,
Jérémy

I followed your instructions for the connections. I managed to pick up several channels.
However, it's strange, they are all mixed up and the usual DTT channels are missing. I only receive France 2 and France 3.
Yet, my search was correctly set to TV Source > DVB Antenna > Cable > Automatic Scan.
I still don't understand what's going on :-/
Thanks for your help
Jérémy
Otherwise, it would be good to perform a "reset" or "factory reset" or "initial configuration" (see menu), but you will have to redo all the installation and settings.
And don't forget to specify the country "France" and possibly check "LCN" (logical channel numbering) so that the channels are in the CSA order.
In my search for channels for the Digital TV source, I have:
- DVB Antenna: I can select Cable or Air
- Auto scan: I can enter this menu
- Manual DTV search
- Auto update the list: button enabled
- HbbTV: button enabled
- LCN: button enabled
- Signal information
When I enter Auto Scan:
- Search mode: I can select either ATV / ATV+DTV / DTV
- Auto search: this button starts the search
For my channel search, I selected the Cable option in DVB Antenna. And I directly launched the search afterward. Everything came out in disorder, numbered from 850 and above. Many channels (which I don’t need) indicate "Missing Cam Module".
Unless your building is wired and not using a shared antenna?
In that case, there's no other solution than to change the order of the channels regarding "Missing CAM Module"; it refers to a module + card to be inserted into the common PCMCIA interface of your TV to decrypt the paid channels.
