Hello everyone,
I would need your insights on whether it would be possible for my retailer, namely ASUS, to locate the laptop I purchased but never received? The delivery person left it in the garden shed and I suspect some neighbors may have taken it.
So I was hoping that ASUS could locate it if it's still in the neighborhood.
What do you think?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
In case of loss or theft of a package, you need to contact the seller and the delivery agency. Human error happens, and the delivery person can easily deliver to the wrong address or region (yes, I've experienced it, a package delivered 200km from my home).
But you must obviously do this as soon as the issue is noticed; if you wait 2 weeks, then a refusal on their part is quite possible...-
Thank you for the information.
And I do plan to contact the reseller tomorrow because it's very recent, and I hope they will take their responsibility.
But I would have liked to know if they can locate it to confirm my suspicions about the neighbors.
Do you know if this is technically possible?- Don't wait! You must report a theft on the day it is discovered. The delivery agency will open an internal investigation and you should also notify the seller to obtain a replacement.
And no, it is not possible to locate a computer. Even from its IP address, only the Internet service provider can match the IP to a subscriber's home address.
