    Welcome to CCM
    It's how you do it that matters, press the Power button and Volume + button at the same time, of course, and for long enough to get a screen where you should see Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
    This is the option you need to select to reset the tablet; if you haven't backed anything up before proceeding, you'll lose all your data, just so you know!

      Thank you for your response. But the power and volume + button doesn't work. Nothing happens...
      The power and volume - button restarts the tablet but I always end up on the pattern.
      I can't access the Wipe Data/factory Reset display
      The model of my tablet Galaxy Tab A is the SM-T515
      And it doesn't matter if I lose my data, it's a lounge tablet, I use it for my music and when I go on trips. I can reinstall the essentials...

        Try the following manipulation, you must first turn off your tablet.
        Press the Power button and the Volume + button simultaneously
        When you get a display on the screen, hold the Power button only until the Wipe Data......... page appears, it should work.

    The small hole at the top of the tablet is the microphone!
    If you put a needle in it, you have destroyed it! Great!

    Please provide the exact model of the tablet. There are several Tab A models.

      I can differentiate a microphone jack from a reset hole ;-)

      The model is SM T515.

        The problem is that there should not be a hole for the reset on Samsung tablets.
        On the edge (top) of my tablet:
        Try resetting it as indicated by glg29.

    Additional information:
