Wireless Logitech mouse stutters and freezes

Hello,

I have a brand new mouse that I received for Christmas, so it's less than a month old.
It was working fine, but for the past few days, it has been skipping and freezing. Of course, I checked the battery and everything is okay on that front.

It seems that the problem is getting worse, as it is freezing more and more.

I thought about returning it, but before I do, I wanted to check with you if there are any adjustments I can make.
I've tried a few without success.

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Edge 87.0.664.75

Hello

I changed the port when I read your message; I wanted to wait until I could properly test it to see its reaction before getting back to you. Unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problem. It's still just as choppy and freezes just as much. For a new mouse, this is not normal! I don't understand what could be causing this. The mouse is a Logitech M720 Triathlon Wireless Bluetooth Mouse for PC with fast scrolling and Unifying USB receiver for computer and laptop, Black.

Thank you!

Is the mouse receiver original?
Also check the mouse settings.

I don't understand what you mean when you say the mouse receiver is original? The mouse itself is new; I received it as a Christmas gift last week. I mentioned earlier that it was less than a month old, but in fact, I received it last week. As I said, it's brand new. In the settings, I tried a few things, but I went back to the default settings because it was worse than before.

A wireless mouse comes with a USB receiver that needs to be plugged into the PC.

Sorry, but yes, it is plugged in; otherwise, the mouse wouldn't work at all. It works very poorly for a new mouse, but it does work.

Hello,

Change the USB port.
