Hello,
I have lost my password on MAC for FINDER.
Is it possible to create a new one? If so, how?
Thank you
Sincerely

Hello,

I don't know a password for Finder... you must be talking about the login password for your session, right?

See this page:

Best regards.

Good evening Francis,

Yes, yes... here is the message "the finder wants to place 3 (or more or less...) items in the trash. Enter your password to authorize this operation."
When I want to intervene on an external disk to delete items.
What do you think?
Thank you
Best regards,
Torey

In this case, it is indeed the password of the Admin user of the Mac. Not a Finder password...

There is at least one Admin-type user on every Mac.

https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/guide/mac-help/mtusr001/mac

PS: If a password is requested to put something in the trash, it means that these items belong to another user or that these items are protected because they are useful to the system. So, be careful...

Francis, thank you.
I circumvented the problem by wiping the entire external drive.
It was easier!!!!!
A big thank you.
Happy holidays
Best regards,
Torey
