I currently have a Livebox Play, but I want to create a Mesh network at home. Therefore, I would like to replace the Livebox with a suitable router to power the mesh network but also to provide the VOIP phone that is part of the package. Has anyone ever had the opportunity to do this? Thank you in advance.

Hi,
a mesh network shouldn't have any issues with an LBX at first glance.
For telephony, you first need to choose a different VoIP operator if the phone is no longer connected to the box via its phone jack.

Hi,
I’m not sure I understand you. I want to keep my Orange subscription and keep my phone. So I need a router that allows me to connect my phone the same way I do with the Livebox. Otherwise, to get a mesh network, I have to connect another router to the Livebox to power the mesh network.

but I don't understand either, are you keeping the lbx or not?

No. I want to replace the Livebox with a router that can power the Mesh network and that will connect to my VOIP telephone line, provided by Orange.

It's doable, but very complex; why not put the mesh Wi-Fi behind your box?
You might as well disable the Wi-Fi network on it.
VoIP is not an internet access, it's at the back.

My house is not wired, so I was afraid of having interference with the Livebox and another router next to each other. I was also worried about having interference from my wife with two routers next to each other in the house ;-)

In principle, when you set up a mesh Wi-Fi, you turn off the Wi-Fi of the box.
For madam, nothing to do, except to put them under the furniture.

Thank you for your time and your help. It might be easier to hide my wife ;-)

Unless for specific use, I don’t think it brings you much, nothing to do with a mesh wifi in any case.
