Hello, I dropped my laptop and I can't activate my wireless network anymore.
Do I have to go to a repair shop or is there something I can do?
Thank you for responding quickly
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.10

Actually, there are two buttons that I need to activate to get the Wi-Fi, it's fn+f2 and I'm doing it, but my Wi-Fi is off and won't turn on.

Test the machine on other Wi-Fi networks like those of your friends to check if it's indeed the machine.
There are live CD versions of Windows or you can install an operating system to see if the card responds at all or if it's just a software issue.
If the problem persists, the Wi-Fi card probably didn't like the fall and is likely dead, and if it's integrated into the motherboard, that will be very expensive at a technician's. It's better to ask for a quote; it might be much more financially interesting to add an external Wi-Fi network card (PCMCIA, USB) which costs €20 or even less for the cheapest models.

Try to shake it a little!
If you hear something moving inside, it’s not good!!! (just kidding)

In my opinion, you're good to go to the "mechanic"!

    Good luck!!

Did you turn it off before the fall? It could be that the buttons are no longer working.

    No, he was on
And by the way, is it expensive to go to the repair shop?

A quote can be free. It can be reasonable depending on the malfunction; after that, it depends on the value of the machine to be repaired.
Look for a place where you can get a free quote so you will be clear.
