Hello, I have fiber from Red by SFR and I only get 20 MB/S on my Windows 7. Red tells me that I need to buy a new computer.

    Hi

Uh, not sure, we don't know his wifi ... I'm at 433 Mb/s on radio and 200 Mb/s in speed (nperf) on wifi AC 5 GHz

Sure, but I'm certainly not the only one

As I said, we don't know her Wi-Fi configuration

I don't see what you're basing your claim on that it's at max

Let's wait for her to give details about her equipment and how she measures her speed value

Especially since she expresses it in MB/s

    Hi

    @isabelle

What kind of WiFi card do you have in your PC?

What model of box do you have?

So your box also delivers 5GHz WiFi

Now we just need to see what kind of WiFi card you have and how you are getting that value of 20 MB/S.

Yes, my box delivers 5GHz, I tested it with mire.sfr.fr and I have 20 MG/S.

    MG/S does not exist

    It’s MB/s or Mb/s .. (uppercase/lowercase are important, there is a multiplier of 8 between b and B)

mire.sfr.fr (actually, it's nperf) gives results in Mb/s and not MB/S .... 20 is very little for fiber

Yes, it's a download speed of 16.26 and an upload speed of 12.72 Mb/s; I just did the test.

Since you still don't respond about the network card, assuming it's too old, you can use a USB Wifi adapter like this one, compatible with Windows 7 and 10.

Automatic installation on W10 and CD provided for Windows 7

Tested at my place on W7, connected in AC 5Ghz

Re: I found it in the network center and sharing. However, in IPv6 connectivity, I have no network, and for the speed, I have 54.0 Mbps. What should I do?

54 Mbit/s is normal, the maximum for the Wi-Fi card you have.
It's a maximum speed, with favorable conditions, not a real speed, which is closer to your 20 Mbit/s.
As for IPv6, it's strange that there isn't any on a fiber connection, but that's not the issue at hand right now.

Why do I have no network for IPv6, and what should I do?

Check if your ISP provides IPv6, and if it's enabled on your PC.
But again, it's not important for your issue.

What is IPv6? What is it used for?

Yes, I saw, but how do I get to the wireless connection status? What steps should I take?

Why didn't you say anything instead of not answering the question at all?

The link doesn't ask you to go to the wireless connection status

It's simply a matter of going into the device manager and looking at the network adapters section.

      Hi,
20 Mbit/s for a b/g Wi-Fi card is already good; you won't get much more.
      It's a bit outdated indeed.
To get the full fiber speed, you need to connect with an Ethernet cable to the box.
