Fiber, the Livebox in a specific location

Hello,

I think I will soon have fiber, and I want to stay with Orange.
My telephone line comes into the storage room,
the fiber is going to arrive in the storage room, right?
The Livebox is located in my multimedia closet,
and I don't want to move it to the storage room, because it will be a mess.
For that, we will need to run a conduit or the optical cable in a conduit, and I'm not
very handy.

Is it the technician from Orange who has to run the optical cable through the conduit?
so that the fiber can reach my multimedia closet?
If not, how can I do it? Not being handy.
Do you know a specialized company?
Is it a reasonable price?

Thank you

    Hi

They are bringing the fiber to the PTO at the location you want

For my installation (Free), I had indeed planned a conduit from the outside to the inside, and the technician was to install the PTO where I wanted it.

Same for my partner's 'in town' workshop

I know that Orange did the same for a friend.

    Hello,
The box is in the multimedia cupboard...
Currently, the box is connected via ADSL.. there is therefore a telephone cable between the pantry and the multimedia cupboard.
This phone line will be useless with fiber.
The Orange technician will use the route of this telephone cable to run the fiber and will install the PT0 in your multimedia cupboard, without any problem.

    Hello,
It will be the technician from Orange who will make the connection from the fiber arrival to your home in the cupboard!

    Hello,
just 2/3 unimportant questions, because indeed Orange should install the PTO directly at the "multimedia cabinet" without any problem.
On the other hand, to make sure we're on the same page:
Is the DTI located in the pantry or at the cabinet?
Does this cabinet have a patch panel or not?
What is the distance from the pantry to this cabinet?
    Indoors,
a fiber is not necessarily in a conduit, often the cable runs along the baseboards exposed, there is no safety consideration for people with fiber, except on a very particular point.

Well, I won't watch it in the eye of the storm then. As for Fiber, I'm already waiting for the 5G rollout. ;)

I have an old DTI located in the pantry that dates back to 2008.
The box has just a power socket + an RJ45 socket and a telephone socket in RJ11 format.

      ok,
it’s better to keep the fiber in the closet then...
      How far?

The closet is where you said your box is located ;-)
      After all, 5m is nothing...
