Poco F2 Pro (Xiaomi) not charging or charging intermittently

Hello everyone,

I have had a Poco F2 Pro since around August, which was working perfectly until now.

Since yesterday, nothing happens when I plug in a cable to charge it or transfer files. The battery actually ran out very quickly that day: at the time the phone turned off, I usually had at least 30% battery left.

I let the phone "rest" overnight, and I plugged it in this morning. Everything was working perfectly again, and at 23% charge the phone suddenly didn't recognize anything again.

I tried several chargers and cables, including the one for the Switch that usually works, but nothing.

I managed to take various screenshots with Ampere, and the phone does detect when a USB-C to jack adapter is plugged in (see screenshot)

If anyone has an idea or a solution, I would be infinitely grateful, otherwise it will have to go to repair…

Hello, I wanted to know if you found a solution to your problem. I have the same issue?

Resolved by inserting an internal connector.

Hello
I'm having the exact same issue right now with this phone.
I just changed the charging connector but it didn't change anything.
Applying pressure on the corners only worked for a while....
Do you know what the customer service did?

Hello,
An idea... No, a solution... Maybe. Is your smartphone (Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro) still under warranty?
Where did you buy it?

Yes, I imagine it's still under warranty since the purchase was made 3-4 months ago, and the phone came from Xiaomi's official website, mi.com.

I indeed think that if the issue is not software-related, it will have to go through the service center...

While browsing Reddit, I found a halfway solution.

Apparently, by pressing firmly on two opposite corners of the phone, the charging starts working again. So it's definitely a hardware issue and the phone will be sent for repair. Thank you for the response.

Hello, thanks to you my phone is charging again, indeed I also had the same problem and by pressing on the two opposite corners it worked. It's only a temporary fix but it's something already lol.

Hi, the same problem happened for a while where you had to press, then just tap. In the end, nothing worked. Anyway, after opening it and trying to clean it as best as I could and checking the connection points on the board, nothing jumped out at me. I ordered a new charging connector. I'll see when it arrives.
PS: it's a kinder surprise to open, it's directly accessible.
Just be very careful as it's glass glued to the back. Make sure to heat it.

If it’s open, press on the connectors; if it recharges, then unscrew the screws and add small pieces of tape on the connectors and screw them back in. There are a lot of very well-made tutorials on YouTube.
