Twitch Live Delay?

Hi,

I recently started streaming on Twitch. But there are a lot of things I'm not managing very well yet. If someone could help me via DM to master OBS better!?

First example, I did a live stream last Monday. In the first part, I played Battlefront 2. I didn't need any special configuration for that. Then I moved on to Among Us with my friends, and I needed to add a delay to prevent one of my friends from cheating by watching the live stream. However, I couldn't figure out how to do it during the live stream. I had to stop the live and start another one with the delay.

That's the kind of thing I want to learn how to do. Add a delay in the middle of a live stream without having to stop and restart it.

I've already searched on Google, but I can't find anything...

Thanks in advance!!

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 86.0.4240.111

    Hello,

This is the kind of thing I'd like to learn how to do. Add a delay in a live broadcast while it’s happening, without having to stop and restart it.

Normally, that's not possible. You have to modify the encoder settings and for them to take effect, you need to restart the encoding... which means stopping the live and then restarting it. ;-)

Okay, but can I make it so that it stays as one live? Like, take a sort of break and not completely cut the live?

Not really, since it is necessary to cut the video encoding and therefore, the transmission "live"...
