Redmi Note 9 Bluetooth issue / JBL Flip 4 Solved/Closed

Question

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my new phone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9,

I can't detect my JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker,
it connects very well to my PC (Huawei) and my old phone (Honor 5C),

I've tried downloading Bluetooth pairing apps, but it doesn't work. Do you have a solution, please?

If you have a sound or connectivity issue between your Xiaomi smartphone and your car, here is a solution that worked for me:
You need to go to settings, then additional settings, developer options, and in the Bluetooth section, select the acrvp version 1.6. Then you must restart the phone to apply the settings changes. Now the sound will come through all Bluetooth devices. For Bluetooth connectivity between the smartphone and the car, go to settings, then Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth, and then search one or several times, and you should find your car. Click on it, and you will be asked for a PIN code (Note that this is not the smartphone's PIN code, but the Bluetooth pairing code). Depending on the case, it will be 0000, or 1234, or another if you set a different PIN code. Enter the same on the ODB (on-board computer) screen of your car, and the Bluetooth connection will be established (just follow what is displayed on the smartphone and car screens).

Hello,

Some suggestions:
- This speaker is on Bluetooth 4.2 and the Note 9 is on v5; in principle, it's backward compatible, but sometimes there can be issues.
- Try going to the "Bluetooth" app and clearing its cache.
- Check (or wait ...) for phone updates.

Thanks to you, I eventually found the answer, although I had to search a bit!!
So, I discovered the developer options thanks to you (I'll let others search online for how to enable them since it depends on the smartphones, I think, but it's very easy) and I changed the acrvp version, but it still didn't work. However, maybe I needed to do it as well,

I gathered some information about the other settings and found out about the codec, and that the phone's codec needs to be the same as the speaker's, either aptx or SBC (the most used). So, I selected SBC (instead of "default codec"), restarted the phone again and... miracle, it works!!

So thank you very much for your response because without you I would have never found it!!

I resolved the issue by also switching to version acrvp 1.6, as described above it was better but not great because I still had some interruptions, and it’s mainly by downloading the JBL app that the sound has been perfect since then.

Exactly the same problem as many... new phone since the beginning of August (Redmi Note 9) and random Bluetooth disconnections in the car (Opel Corsa from 2013). Very annoying!
I tried changing the phone settings in the developer options but nothing changed...
I decided to go to the Opel dealer and there, the person was not surprised at all and confirmed that the car was too old and the phone too new! Even with an update for the car, it won’t work...
I guess I'll have to go back to the old way with a Bluetooth hands-free kit in the car :(
