Hello,
My Gigaset A420 does not make outgoing calls 9 times out of 10 unless I turn it off and on again. 3 dashes appear without a dial tone before returning to the home screen. Any idea what the problem might be? I have reset to factory settings and it didn’t help.
Thank you
Configuration: Android / Chrome 85.0.4183.81

I still think it would be a good idea to change the batteries.
That will at least eliminate this lead.
The lead that, for now, seems to me the only plausible one..
I don't think there's an ADSL connection issue.

How do you "turn it off"?
Is the display normal before attempting to call?
The call doesn't go through, but we can hear the number dialing and the screen remains normal or turns off?

Hello,
I turn off my device by pressing and holding the power button.
The number being dialed, including from the contacts, is displayed on the screen until I press the call button or there is no dialing sound or ringtone. It just goes back to the home screen. Thank you.-
Is there anything unusual on the combined device screen? (link status - battery status)
Neither before dialing the number, nor after pressing the "Pick up" button and returning to the home screen.
Is this device new? For now, I suspect the batteries are at the end of their life and are no longer able to provide the necessary power.- Nothing abnormal on the screen. I can receive calls, the battery is shown as full and lasts for the duration of conversations without any problems. That's why I'm wondering about the battery or a worn-out device. It's connected to DSL, could this be an issue with my provider in your opinion, like what can happen with emails and a buggy SMTP server? That has happened to me, but not at this time. Thank you.
