Is it really the base that squeaks? And only if the handset is no longer on the charger?
Unplug the base completely, both the telephone cable and the power supply, for a few minutes.
Where the handset sits, there should be 2 contacts; I'm not sure if they are movable or not. If they are movable, check that they move freely and that there is no foreign object in the area. Clean it if necessary while the base is unplugged.
Does the display on the base show 00?

It is very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Is there no label at the bottom?
At Alcatel, there are several dozen models

The red light has 2 horizontal lines when there is no phone on the base.
In the initial message, wasn't it the opposite????
It beeps nonstop when I remove the handset from the base.
When you put the handset on the base, it’s normal for there to be a beep to indicate that the handset is correctly placed on the base.
As for the display, two dashes mean that the answering machine is not in service....???
Are those two dashes fixed on?
Yes, when you hang up the receiver, it's normal to hear a beep, but this is all the time!
I will unplug and plug it back in, we’ll see!
I checked everything, I don't understand....
and while you're at it, also check those of the handset... if there's a bad contact, the handset sees contact, no contact, etc., and beeps each time.
I checked everything, I'm giving up now!
Someone handy and into electronics will take care of it!!
Thanks for your advice, have a good evening!
