Unable to join a friend..

Hello everyone, I have been trying to join a friend on Minecraft PS4 for several months and it's impossible in both ways..
I've tried everything, forums, videos, even uninstalling and spending my time translating English videos to find this damn bug but it's impossible..
Neither he nor I can join each other..
If someone has a solution or a forum discussing this, it would help me a lot.
A small detail, we already had this bug before the Bedrock update I think..

Hi, I had this bug too and I managed to play with my cousin today, so first you need to add him as a friend (I think you’ve done that but anyway...) then you create a world and in the world settings, go to the multiplayer tab and activate the thing, I don’t know what it’s called, and find the tab where you can set it to "friends of friends" etc... and well you set it to "friends only" and then you hit play. After that your buddy will go to play, he goes to friends and joins, and there you go.
