Hello,
My son wants to play Minecraft with his dad using Joy-Cons on the TV. He has the Switch. We can't figure it out.
Additionally, we have online and a Microsoft account. How can we play with a friend remotely who has the Switch?
Thank you
Configuration: Android / Chrome 81.0.4044.117

Hello,
In order to play Minecraft in two, your son and his father each need to have a pair of Joy-Cons or they can use Nintendo Switch Pro controllers. If you have the required equipment, when you start a game, the second player needs to press the “+” button to join the game with their account, or if they don’t have one, they should click on “skip”.
(but it’s still better with an account)
I hope I have helped you
Have a nice day.

Hello, you need two accounts connected to Nintendo Switch Online, then you need two pairs of Joy-Cons or a Pro Controller. Start the game, activate Nintendo on the home screen, then start the map. The second controller must be connected to the Switch (if it’s Joy-Cons, simply place them on the Switch, and if it’s a Pro Controller, you will need a USB cable, connect it to the Switch dock, and turn on the controller). On the second controller, press the + button once, a message will appear (join as player 2), press + a second time, and select the second account connected to Nintendo Switch Online. If it’s Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition, it won’t work, sorry. I hope I’ve helped you! Goodbye.
Hello,
I have the same problem. When I try to add the second controller, the display switches to split screen with the message "To play multiplayer in split-screen without a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, disable the 'Multiplayer' option in the game settings." This option is indeed disabled, and it is still impossible to add the second player.
Any ideas?
