I'm receiving someone else's emails.

Hello,
For several months I have been receiving emails that belong to someone else. Even personal emails (invoices, registration confirmations, school emails apparently it's a high school student, and so on..). It turns out that this person has the same name as me and the same address, except that their first and last name are separated by a dot. Mine are not.

I contacted Google who told me that even with a dot it is still my address. However, no, apparently it is indeed someone else.

I have tried to contact their school, their gym, even him, and I received no response each time.

I sent another email to Gmail support to ask them what to do, but received no response.

I don’t understand why they allow someone to create an email address knowing that someone else will receive their emails.

    Hello,

    It's normal. You say, "same address except that his first name and last name are separated by a dot. I don't." These are 2 different addresses, therefore 2 different people; a typing error was made by that person, they mistook the address..

    Example:
    Mr. Paul Thomas lives in the 83: p.thomas@***
    Mr. Paul Thomas lives in the 50: pthomas@***

      Yes, that's correct, but in the emails I receive, the recipient is indeed the address that contains the dot.

      So it's not a typing error when sending the email.

      I do not receive emails from private addresses, only emails from organizations (gym, delivery, purchases, bank, etc.).

        You receive an email where you can see the address with a dot, but perhaps your address is also present but hidden in BCC. The email was actually sent to name.firstname in "normal" (you can see the address) and also to name.lastname (your address) but in "hidden".
