Convert album to pdf

Hello,
this is the first time I'm using your platform, but I hope you can help me.
I had started a photo album for my daughter on myalbumphoto; I had saved what I had done, but with their new version, I can no longer read it!
I don't know anything about this, but it says ".mapalb" and when I open it, I see incomprehensible hieroglyphs!!!
I wanted to know if there is a solution to convert this format into a PDF or another format that can be read?

I look forward to your response, and thank you in advance.

    Hello,

If I understand correctly, myalbumphoto allows you to create a photo album on paper that will be sold to you. The result is generally very nice (if your photos are also of good quality).

But there is no mention anywhere about creating a virtual album that you can save as a PDF (to possibly share it).

What you have saved is likely made up of layout data. This allows you to resume the creation work later if you wish.

    An idea:
You can create a simple photo montage yourself using Picasa. This software is no longer supported by Google. You can download it from CCM: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/photo-graphisme/17729-picasa/
It has a photo montage creation feature. The montage can be saved as an image file (jpg or other) and converted to PDF.

    Hello,
you need to find an old official version of the software. Otherwise, you will not be able to open the file and possibly convert it.

Do you know where to find one?
I've looked but haven't found anything; I keep coming across the new version.

    Good evening,

It’s curious how the format is... normally it’s “photo album” that opens this...
Normally the new software should read the previous photos.. That’s the compatibility.

    Go check https://service-client.monalbumphoto.fr/hc/fr/articles/360005954100-O%C3%B9-est-sauvegard%C3%A9-mon-livre-photo-

Otherwise, you should have something that allows you to view your photos..
    https://www.filetypeadvisor.com/app.htm

And the photos, where are they stored..?? on your PC or on the Cloud..??

    The response here is clear.
What is saved is an album project that can only be accessed by the editor's software.
It is in no way possible to convert it to a PDF.

What is clearly stated is that previous creations are no longer usable and that one must start over.
And logically, if by chance one has an old version of the software, it is not even certain that the completed project will be accepted by monalbumphoto to create a paper album.

    MonAlbumPhoto is guilty:
    1. Of offering its update without alerting that it is indeed a completely different software that will render previous creations unreadable.
    2. In doing so, it is guilty of destroying private property since it had sold us the rights to use this software downloaded with the initial works.
    3. Even though with this old version we cannot reload a project to make a new print, we could at least use it to view the already completed products. In fact, Monalbumphoto has again consciously destroyed private property without warning its customers of the risk of downloading the new version.
    4. Finally, they could have presented this as a completely independent new software. Their acquisition by the Dutch has not served them well.
    5. I explicitly asked them to provide me with an old version so that I can put it on another PC and then I will try to see how to convert it into photo or pdf files.

      Hello,

I experienced the same thing, and on top of that, I lost those photos due to a bug... so I was hoping to use my project to recover them, but it seems there's no hope... Were you able to obtain the old version?

I have the same problem! I have the mapalb file... but it’s useless now. The album was almost finished... almost because I had to redo the ending a second time because the software had crashed... I wanted to get back to it and after the update, nothing works... I too would have liked to remember everything I had written... luckily I still have the sorted photos in a folder... I have to redo everything...

    Good evening,

It’s a sad story...and very limiting... But @pierr10 has indeed provided the answer on this subject.

I’ll repeat it by giving the link to the site openly https://service-client.monalbumphoto.fr/hc/fr/articles/360006382139-Pourquoi-ne-puis-je-plus-acc%C3%A9der-%C3%A0-mes-anciennes-cr%C3%A9ations-

Moral of the story... one must keep everything in double and maintain control over the work...
