Hello everyone,

I have a Panasonic NV-J46 VCR. It outputs sound, but there's no image, or sometimes the image is completely scrambled with "snow" and we can't see the picture behind it.

Any solution?

Hello and welcome to this forum,

Have you cleaned the heads with a cleaning cassette?
If there are no results, you'll have to "get your hands dirty":

No, I couldn't do it because I don't have a tape intended for that purpose, but I have already cleaned the drum head.

    Have you tried another scope?
If your tapes are old, it's possible that the reels are dirty or worse, demagnetization...;-(

There are companies that can clean and salvage them:

Yes, I tried the tape on 2 other VCRs and it works perfectly, so I don't understand.

    Hi

Is your scope connected to the TV antenna socket or the SCART (or something else...)?

      Hi,

It is connected to the TV via a SCART cable.
