Fusion Repair Kit

Hello everyone,
my name is Benjamin, an aspiring tinkerer!
I couldn't find the printer category so I’m not sure if my post will be in the right place…
I’m seeking help to repair a fuser kit on a Color LaserJet 4700 printer.
It served me well and then tragedy struck: the error corresponds to changing the fuser kit, but the kit costs around €200 (I tested the other components; everything else works).
I disassembled the RM1-3146 / Q7503A kit, cleaned it, and reassembled it, but the error is still present.
I’d like to repair it myself given the price of the part, and since it’s not working I’m not worried about causing more damage, or maybe I am, but I’ll take the risk.
Could someone help me with this process?

Best regards
Benjamin

The principle is to set up a safety that counts the number of sheets that have passed through the fuser in order to maintain optimum print quality.

The counting system is very variable. It can be a chipset on the unit, or a fuse that resets the machine's counter... You need to find the "service" manual to see if you can find the system used on this printer.

      Good evening Contrariness,
First of all I’m going to Google this term Chipset, it doesn’t make much sense to me..., and then try to find the service manual. Finally we agree that the service manual is quite different from the user manual, right? Because in the latter there is no information on the “electronic” part
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I’ll try to come back with the solution :) :)

Chipset = electronic chip.. (like on ink cartridges)... Except that since we don’t change a fusion unit like a cartridge of ink (using one already used), you can have a fuse-based reset system that only works once for the lifetime of the unit when you replace it.
Look for the electrical contacts on your fusion unit, it might give you an idea of what’s behind it...
Service manual or Service manual is the documentation intended for technicians... sometimes you can find it, sometimes you cannot... There are sites that sell them but it’s better to look for a free version, especially for older machines..

    Hello,
    sorry for the late reply...
In good news, someone lent me a functional fusion kit, hooray!!
"kit in which I was able to dismantle the mind in peace and I think I’ve gotten my hands on the famous fuse"
but in the end the problem wouldn’t come from that one after all boo...
but surely from the DC motor RK2-0615 good or bad news?
Good because the price of the fusion kit is quite high, bad because this part is impossible for me to find for purchase or available on sites like Ali*** but sold in lots of 100/pc, unless there are fewer than 99 people in need I’m blocked
So I’m going with repairing this famous part that drives the fusion kit, but this time I can’t find a forum would you have a link that could help me?

    Thanks in advance
    Benji
