No USB boot option in the BIOS

Hello,

If your BIOS is too old and doesn't support USB booting, you don't have many options ;-(

• Either burn a CD
• Or set up a TFTP server to boot over the network (your BIOS supports this (Realtek boot agent))
• Or install PlopBootManager on your new HD with your ISO. But that's not something everyone can handle, and it's not guaranteed to work ;-\

Hello, which motherboard is it?

Maybe you need to activate a USB feature before it shows up in the boot order!

Because right now, we can't even see a "Floppy Disk", so there is a problem.

I managed to boot from the USB drive, but I didn't have the correct version of Windows XP, so the activation key doesn't work.
And now I can't find an ISO of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, except for one with 2 different files, cd1 and cd2.

Is it possible to install another version of Windows with my key?
Or does anyone have a link to the ISO I'm looking for?

If the PC needs to be reinstalled from scratch, you could try installing Windows 7 for example?

You should check the manufacturer's website to see if a more recent version of the BIOS is available, just to update everything to accommodate any newer versions.

I made a bootable Windows XP USB drive and I had the F8 option to choose how to boot and my USB drive was there. I installed XP by skipping the product key registration and then I activated Windows with a YouTube tutorial!
