Hello, I’m reaching out because I have a boot issue with USB on MSI. I have created a bootable USB using the command prompt, placed my OS on it, went through MSI by clicking delete at startup, then I go to settings, then boot, and I select USB CD/DVD as option 1. I return to settings, save and exit. Then I save the changes and restart. I insert my USB key and once the PC restarts, it tells me this: "NTLDR is missing, press CTRL+Alt+Del to restart..."

Hi,

Did you really boot your USB key or do you think you did? I rather believe you just copied the file onto it.

Use ISO to USB, a small software that allows you to boot USB keys. And you shouldn't touch the boot priority in the BIOS, set everything back to how it was.

Here's how to proceed to boot from a USB key: Insert the USB key, turn on your PC, and press F8 (or F10 or F12), then select your USB key... and that's it!
