Hello
I have a problem with my SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A tablet.
I am experiencing significant slowdowns.
When I open the "settings" / "device maintenance: battery, storage, memory" menu, I see that the storage is at 31.2 Go / 32 Go.
I see the following data:
- used/system: 31.2 Go
- Unused data: 1.62 Mo
- Available space: 843 Mo
And in user data (just below), I see:
- Documents -> 3.1 Go
- Images -> 497 Mo
- Audio -> 5.8 Go
- Videos -> 0 Mo
- Applications -> 8.3 Go
When I stupidly add them up, I get: 3.1 + 0.497 + 5.8 + 8.3 = 17.7 Go. I am far from the 31.2 Go displayed...
I do not understand what is wrong. I cannot identify what is taking up space and therefore what I can manage.

Same on my phone, when I add up documents, images, etc., I don't have the total indicated, I think that's normal. Almost full storage causes a lot of slowdowns. I recommend you buy an SD card for your photos, videos, music, and documents; it will free up a lot of space. You can also install applications to optimize your tablet like CCleaner, which frees up a lot of space by deleting unnecessary files. If you don't want to spend money on an SD card, you can always back up your files to your computer. If your tablet is really slow, it might be time to reset it. Personally, I reset my devices about once a year. This will delete all your data and restore your tablet to its factory settings! Make a backup first! Why reset? Simply to "set the clocks right," which can solve most problems and slowdowns.
