Hello,
I need your help
I just purchased the Xiaomi Mijia projector.
It’s great because I can directly access Canal and Netflix on it.
But I would like to watch my DVDs and movies on an external hard drive.
That's where I don't understand, when I plug in my external DVD player via USB, it doesn't work (I have to go through my computer via HDMI)
And when I also plug in my external hard drive via USB, the projector detects it but I don't have access to my movies or other files.
What should I do?
What is the point of this USB 2.0 if I can't plug anything into it? ????????

Hello, when you watch a movie on your computer, do you use a viewer software and a DVD player towards the projector via USB? I don't know, I'll see more about HDMI or USB-C.
The files on the hard drive are transmitted in packets for transfer only via USB; the internal Android software and memory will take care of the rest, that's all I can tell you.

Remember to mark your message as "resolved" if that's the case.

I didn't quite understand everything :)
Yes, when I watch a movie on my computer, I use VLC. Maybe I should install similar software to view it on the projector interface as well.
However, I still don't see why it doesn't detect the external DVD player? Maybe it's not compatible with USB 2.0? Would I need a USB to HDMI adapter?
