Connecting a DVD player to a video projector (beginner!) Solved

Question

Hello, Here it is: I really don't know anything about connectivity. I inherited a DVD player and a video projector (the first one seems to be a "cheap one," the second a bit old but seems to be very reliable). So, I would like to project some films... but I have no idea how to connect these two devices (so they work... and if possible with good image quality). Can you help me? Thank you very much. I am going to buy this adapter and try it that way. I take the opportunity to ask another question: I also got a small device from my brother that, if I understood correctly, allows viewing all the movies he made that are on a hard drive on the video projector. I was able to connect the hard drive to this small device via a USB cable. But I don't know how to connect it, which has only two outputs (one: HDMI and the other: Optical) to the video projector. What kind of adapter would I need to find for this connection??? Thanks a lot ++

Hello, there is no suitable output on your player. I suggest using an adapter on the SCART connector with RCA type outputs to connect to your projector using the yellow composite RCA for video and the red and white RCA for audio. Hello, I can tell you that the optical output is for an audio connection on an amplifier with this port, and the HDMI is a complete audio and video connection to a suitable input on the projector -- "Donkeys change their minds, not idiots" please remember to mark your message as "resolved" if that's the case.

Thank you for this response. So the optical is not relevant to me. My concern is that the video projector (see image) does not have an HDMI input. Is there a way to convert HDMI to one of the inputs on my video projector? Thank you.

That's it. I used the SCART to RCA adapter, and it works perfectly. For the other device, I tried using an HDMI to DVI cable and that works too! Thanks again for your advice.
