Flickering / buzzing laptop screen

Hello hello,

It's been a while since the screen of my Acer laptop has been flickering for no particular reason.

Since yesterday, it has been flickering/static all the time, with alternating large black and white bands.
Startup photo:

And sometimes, I step away for 2 minutes leaving a Word page open, and I come back to find the screen in this state

This forces me to restart my PC by pressing the power button, and I've noticed that my PC makes absolutely no noise when I turn it off
(usually, it makes a little engine noise when I press the power button, but this time nothing, this detail seems important to me!)

So, having done some research, I found some "solutions" that I would like to discuss with you

1) It’s a graphics driver issue, I need to update them:

My Nvidia GeForce graphics card is up to date, that’s for sure

As for my Intel HD Graphics 630, it is "supposed" to be up to date. The software provided by Intel's website indicates that it is up to date, but when I go through my devices and click "search online for an update," Windows always reinstalls it instead of telling me that I have the latest version...

It's suspicious, I can't say if that’s the problem, even though it seems unlikely.
(If that’s the case, how do I uninstall the Intel driver and reinstall it properly?)

2) It’s a software compatibility issue:

Uhhhh, how do I know which software could be the cause?

Aside from 2-3 little games and a software called TestWe (for taking exams remotely), I haven't installed anything recently.

By the way, I have a good antivirus with which I’ve done scans (nothing to report)
I’ve also done scans with MalwareBytes (nothing to report)
All my other drivers are up to date (so nothing to report either)

3) It could be an electrical overload/static electricity issue with the battery:
(sorry if I’m saying nonsense haha)

The advice would be to turn off the PC, remove the battery, and press the power button for at least 10 seconds.

"Problem": the battery is not accessible without completely dismantling the cover of my Acer Aspire VX15 laptop
I don’t know if this is designed by the manufacturer, but I didn't have this on my previous laptops, so I don’t know what to think....

I await your opinion before dismantling it :-)

Thank you in advance for your help

Good evening,

I could add two more for you:

5- your cable (flat) from the motherboard to the screen is dead.

6- your screen is dying...

See you later!

I don't understand your point 5. Do you mean my power cable?

6: Is it possible on a laptop? How can I fix this? My laptop is two years old, has never overheated, has never been abused or experienced any shocks, or anything like that.

So is it possible for it to die for no reason, lol?

In laptops, the connection between the screen and the motherboard is made via a cable of this type, for example:

It can be weakened by frequently opening and closing the laptop lid.
As for the screen, there is no law...
After all, those are just possibilities...
For your point 1, I have a lot of doubts; it wouldn’t do that when the "acer" logo launches because at that moment it’s not using Windows drivers.
For your point 2, I don't think a software could do that.
For your point 3, I don’t believe that at all!
Hence my points 5 and 6. (oops, I forgot point 4, my bad!!! ;))

See you later!

However, if it is still under warranty ----> CUSTOMER SERVICE

See you later!

Sure, a few quick questions:

1) Is that famous cable easy to access?
2) Is it easy to see if it's damaged? (e.g., bent, blackened, cracked?)
3) Is it easy to change it yourself? Or is it better to go directly to a repair shop?

Thanks

First of all, what you can test is to connect your laptop via HDMI to your TV or another screen to see if the phenomenon occurs as well.

Edit :

I think it's indeed the screen that's glitching from constantly opening and closing the lid of my laptop.

So, for the past 2 weeks, I've been leaving the lid open / the screen raised and not touching it. Thanks to that, I have no more issues, and I've even noticed that the problem came back the rare times I moved my laptop.

There you go.
