Hello,

My Samsung A40 doesn't ring anymore when I receive an MMS. Thank you for your help.
Perhaps after the last update,

Hello,
  • Start by going to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume

Check that the notification sound is not set to 0.
  • If the notification sound is at a correct level, exit Settings.

Go to the Messages app and click on the 3 small dots in the top right corner, then on Settings.
Then click on Notifications and in the next screen on Notification sound.
Choose a sound, for example Harmonics. You should hear the sound.
Close the settings screen.

Thank you very much, but I had already done all that, and the volume is at maximum, and I have a chosen sound but it doesn’t work for MMS while it still works fine for SMS. I feel like this happened after last week's system update.
Thank you for your help.

Check that mobile data is enabled.

Then you can check the APN settings.
The access point data can be found on this site.

Do not follow the instructions at the beginning of the article to find access to the settings:
On the smartphone, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access point names.
You will find SFR. Click on it and check the settings.

I compared the information between my phone and the website, the data is identical.

Sorry! I don't have any other ideas for now.

One last thing to check:
Go to Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery
Make sure Messages is in the unmonitored apps

I checked, it just tells me that Messenger Lite consumes too much battery and I see no indication on "message."
Thanks for trying, I forgot to mention that on 4G I still receive my sound notifications for MMS correctly, it doesn't ring anymore on WiFi, maybe there's a clue there.
Sorry for forgetting this detail.
