Digital recognition disappeared from my settings.

Hello,
I have had a Huawei P20 Pro for over a year.
No issues so far, but I woke up this morning to find that the fingerprint recognition is no longer working. I went into my settings to reactivate it, and surprise, the fingerprint recognition has disappeared from my settings.
I didn't approve any updates between yesterday and today, but my little girl took it without asking when I woke up this morning. Since she can't unlock it, she couldn't have removed this option from my settings, right?
How can I recover it? I don't understand how it could have vanished...

      I was thinking, if I reset, will I lose all my photos and everything else on my phone?

        Okay, thanks, I wanted to avoid it but too bad if there are no other choices...
        Do you know the reason for such a bug? It's strange that it happens all of a sudden without any updates and without me doing anything ????????
