Hello,
Plex isn't working. I fully understand how to use Plex.
But I’m facing a bug; I have installed the latest version of Plex Media Server on updated Windows 10 Pro, but when I’m on the portal page and want to add files to my server, I can’t. It keeps asking me to install Plex Media Server, even though it’s already installed.
After restarting, same issue
After reinstalling, same issue
I switch browsers, same issue
I use the Plex app, same issue
WTF?
Thanks

Hello,
I admit that I don't personally know the Plex software (other than the information available on the internet). However, since it is asking you to install it (even though it is already installed), the issue seems to be on the Windows 10 side, and I can give you a few tips:
- Perform a clean uninstallation of the software (using Revo Uninstaller, for example) and reinstall it
- If it involves a plugin/add-on in the browser, try with another browser
- In Run (windows + R) -> %appdata% -> check in local and roaming if any Plex folders exist, and delete them.
I hope this helps you.
Best regards

Hello, there is also another problem that is surely related to the update of Plex or Windows 10.
Let me explain, the Plex media server software is based on Windows 7, and since Windows 10 has backward compatibility, we run the program by right-clicking >> troubleshoot compatibility.
Then we launch the Windows executable and click run. The program will install and will ask to restart. After the restart, Plex is available again.
I just discovered this, so I'm sharing!
