Hello,

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I need to convert to PDF. The problem is that I find horizontal white margins on each of the PDF slides.
Do you know how to remove these margins so that my PowerPoint slides fill the entire page in PDF?

Thank you in advance,
Guillaume

Good evening,

In PowerPoint, your slide backgrounds cover the entire surface of the slide. However, when you print them, there is a white margin around the edges. This issue is related to the design of most printers. They leave a border margin because they cannot print on the entire surface of the sheet.

PowerPoint cannot correct this printer limitation. However, there is a technique you can use.
1. Click on Design > Slide Size > Custom Slide Size.
2. Under Orientation, click on Portrait or Landscape, depending on the orientation of the slide you want to print.
3. Click on View > Slide Master.
4. In the Placeholder group, uncheck the checkboxes next to the text placeholders (such as Slide Number, Header, Footer, and Date) that you do not want to print.
5. Drag the slide image so that it is slightly narrower than the full page. Check your printer's margin and set the two margins on either side of your slide master to at least that width.
6. Click on File > Print > Print to print a test page. If the printout is misaligned, click on View > Slide Master, recenter the slide image, and restart the print process. You may need to repeat this several times until you achieve the desired result.

Does this work and address your issue?
