Hello,
I turned off my TV yesterday, it was normally on Netflix, and an hour later when I turned it back on, nothing happened, the screen is black. You can make out silhouettes behind it, you can hear the sound but the picture is black. Has anyone had this problem? I'm disappointed, it's only 3 years old. I would like to know if it can be repaired and what might have caused this.
Thank you

Hello, I had exactly the same thing, it's crazy. I fell asleep on Netflix, so the automatic turn-off activates and turns off the TV. As I got used to it, the next day there was no picture, just sound. I wonder if it's not Netflix causing this issue with this series of TVs. Anyway, I found out that your TV isn't dead; it's noticeable that it's the LED strips (backlighting) that are on the panel. I got mine for €50, and I did the replacement myself in 2 hours, taking my time to avoid making mistakes, while watching a lot of pros sharing the disassembly, installation, and reassembly on YouTube. And it's weird too, I bought it for €499.66 on 11/15/2017, and it broke on 11/12/2020, exactly 3 years to the day. That's serious, I'm shocked.
They don't care about people at SHARP, programming the death of their "high-end HDR connected" big screens after just 30 months. Given the number of people experiencing the same issue at the same time, one could consider a lawsuit for planned obsolescence.
Good evening @Nordin,
This is called ghosting and the LCD panel is faulty.
It’s irreparable unless you replace the screen... Might as well buy another one... and from a different brand...
I hope I have answered your question... Have a good evening

Hello, where did you order it from, please? And which video did you watch on YouTube? I had the same problem when I bought my Sharp Aquos 129 cm three years ago.
