Hello,
Problem: Unable to use the COPY/PASTE commands on
a USB Intellimouse Optical with side buttons.
The issue is due to the fact that I am using VISTA (Or more precisely, it was imposed when purchasing the computer)
an HP Pavilion laptop.
The problem persists even if I disable the "touchpad."
No viruses, and this mouse works fine on another computer with XP.
Has anyone solved this issue? Thank you in advance.
PS: If possible, a solution that doesn't require a degree, I don't have the skills to tinker with the registry.

In my opinion, the problem doesn't come from the mouse but from your computer...
Remember to run a good antivirus, Ad-aware, and Ccleaner.

Me too, except that it really doesn't come from the mouse; you have to click hard on the right button.
Hello,
1: Run a scan of your PC with your antivirus, preferably a boot scan (I know that Avast offers this, but I'm not sure about other antivirus programs), or in safe mode if not....
2: As mentioned above, download CCleaner and run the software; it will clean up....
Start with that, and let us know afterwards....

OK guys, it's not a virus problem. I completely scanned the HD as well as the critical "zones."
My A.V. is KASPERSKY, it's a serious A.V.
No, in my opinion, the problem is related to Vista, but I don't know what to do.
Thank you anyway for your responses.

I just realized that it was a mouse with special buttons for copy-paste!
Have you tried checking the Logitech website for recent drivers for Vista?

It's a Microsoft Mouse, and I've installed the DRIVER for Vista.
It has 4 buttons, two standard and two on the sides. These various buttons can be configured with an interface. But when I configure them, the interface displays my options correctly, but the mouse still maintains the standard behavior (previous/next).
