Zimbra free - Disappearance of contacts

Hello,
My contact list suddenly became completely empty. The same goes for the trash.
However, my contacts are not completely lost as, when choosing a recipient while drafting an email, the system still suggests contacts from my address book.
How can this be explained and how can I restore my contact list?
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 73.0
