Disappeared emails in Zimbra Free inbox

I think the account you have on Outlook uses the POP protocol.

You have two options:

1) You delete the account on Outlook and recreate it with the IMAP protocol. But, BE CAREFUL, messages may disappear permanently.

2) Modify the retention time of messages on the server. This is quite complicated:

Go to File > Options > Advanced Options

* In the Send/Receive section click on Send/Receive

* In the window that opens, click on Modify

* New window: Select the account of interest on the left and click on Account Properties on the right

* In the new window, go to the Advanced Options tab

* In the Delivery section, uncheck Delete from server

* Close all windows by validating with OK.

Normally the messages remain on the server and can be accessed from your smartphone.

Thank you. Solution 2 now allows me to see the email well on the server and on Outlook after a test. To be honest, I don't need Outlook, so I could stop using it, but this process didn't bring back the emails I had before. For you, are they permanently lost from the server? Is there any way to move them to a shared folder and then put them back in the inbox afterwards?

They should always be on Outlook, unless there is an automatic cleanup.

If they are on Outlook, it is local storage: they cannot return to the server. You can just forward them to another email account.

the same thing happened to me today!

I just realized while scrolling through my emails that it stops at 22 messages when I had a lot more!!

I don't understand anything, I also have an email software, but I never use it (thunderbird), fortunately the emails are there, but why have they disappeared from zimbra??? I only use zimbra because emails are available everywhere, it's really a mess!

how is it that everything has disappeared? there’s nothing in the trash
