DELL XPS ONE 2710 - Black screen and 2 short beeps

Hello,

Following a BIOS update on my computer, it has not restarted. At least not with a lit black screen and 2 short beeps that repeat every 4/5 seconds.

The fans are working.

After reading several topics on different forums, I performed a “CMOS parameter reset” as recommended in the user manual provided by DELL. The problem persists. (jumper method, then battery method).

I unplugged and reconnected the RAM, hard drive... The problem remains.

    don't look for it, it's the BIOS update that went wrong
    if you can, revert to the previous version of the BIOS

    I can't access the BIOS. The screen stays black, but it works (display when I connect another PC via HDMI).

    Is there another solution besides the clear CMOS that has already been performed? For example, using an external device?

      CMOS problem (AWARD Bios)
      have you removed the battery and the coin cell
      waited 1 to 2 minutes
      then reinserted the coin cell and battery??

        Yes. I no longer have any beeps. Everything is the same without the beeps. A local technician tells me that the motherboard is dead. What does that mean? Is it irrecoverable? Or can I "flash" the BIOS with a USB drive, without having access to the BIOS on my computer?

        If you don't have a screen, you're dead.
        It's not the motherboard that's faulty, BUT the BIOS that is messed up.
        Check with a computer store that can reset the BIOS.

        I do have the backlighting, but I don't even get the "Dell" page showing up.
        Is it complicated to do for someone who is fairly good at this kind of manipulation, or do you need special professional equipment?

        I have already reset the BIOS using the jumper method and by removing the battery for 30 minutes, but that doesn't solve anything. What other methods are there?

        The BIOS is a program that is stored in a memory chip soldered to the motherboard.
        It is what allows the PC to start up.
        So if this program is corrupted, it's dead.
        RE:
        Check a specialized computer store that can reset the BIOS.
