Watch Dogs 2 won't start

Solved

Hello,

I bought Watch Dogs 2 this afternoon, I installed it completely, then I launched it, it displayed something and then nothing happened; however, when I go to the task manager in "more details," I can see it

I have an MSI laptop with an Nvidia GTX 950M graphics card and an Intel Core i5 processor (I don't know the exact reference).

It's good, I found the problem (you need to go into the game files and delete a file in the bin).

Which file needs to be deleted exactly?

DbgHelp.dll

Renaming it is enough.

Do we need to rename everything or just the dll?

Hello,

You say that a file needs to be deleted, but you don't specify which one, that would be quite useful...

Thank you in advance for your response.

In "My Games", you have your installed games. Hover your mouse over the game title, a small arrow will appear, click on it and a menu will show up, choose "Verify Files"

Strange, personally I would uninstall it to reinstall it.

It's what I just did, but I think I still have the same problem and I looked it up, and all the files are fine -_-

Hello,

Even though your graphics card seems a bit weak, it should still be able to launch with the graphics options set to minimum.

From the gaming platform where you purchased the game (Steam, etc.), there is a function to verify the integrity of the game files. Perhaps one of them is corrupted. This function is designed to re-download any damaged files after checking them.

Thank you for your response. I bought it on Instant Gaming and I received a key on the Ubisoft launcher, but I can't find this option.

I have the same kind of problem, except that I’m on a desktop PC with an ultra-power connection! It’s really weird. It didn't used to lag, and now, one year later, it doesn’t work anymore!

It's very simple, I explained it in the last comment. You need to reinstall another version of Nvidia GeForce Experience. One time I read a comment that included a link to get Watch Dogs 2 working again, but I don't remember the name! Lol! If you have a console or something else, download the game on the other platform.

I'm launching it this month, and it asks for your email and password. Please respond.
