My THOMSON laptop screen won't turn on. ????

The screen of my THOMSON laptop won't turn on anymore. When I plug in the charger, the red light turns on. Unfortunately, nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution, please? Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello, can you try this?

    Turn off the PC.
    Unplug the power cable from the PC and remove the battery (if it's a laptop).
    Press and hold the power button on the PC for 40 seconds.
    Then release the power button.
    Plug the power cable back in and/or replace the laptop battery.
    Turn on the PC.
